In 2025, Media City Qatar delivered work designed to engage, test new approaches, and create meaningful connections.
From ‘Qatar ArtBeat’ and ‘Ready, Set, Next’ to “Global Stories, Local Lens”, a number of these efforts were acknowledged by Guinness World Records, Google Cloud, Qatar CSR Awards, PRCA Platinum, PRCA MENA, Middle East Public Relations Association, and Great Place To Work Middle East.
These moments offered space to reflect on how the work resonated beyond our own walls, as we continue building media ecosystem Where Next Is Made.

This was our 2025.
A year defined by execution, scale, and the people behind it.
At Sunset Hospitality Group, we expanded across regions and verticals with intention – opening mettbarcelona and mettsingapore welcoming over 1.7 million guests, and continuing our global rollout with 17 new venues across the portfolio.
We introduced two new divisions – Social Gaming with kapitolsocial and Members Club with Madison House – broadening our platform while staying true to our long-term vision.
Across Europe, the Mediterranean, and Asia, we strengthened our presence with openings and announcements from aurabeachbodrum in Yalikavak & aurabeachmontenegro and attikolisbon to mettmilantorrevelasca and new partnerships in Vietnam.
Four of our venues were recognised by the michelinguide, sustainability milestones were delivered in full, and our teams were recognised among the Best Workplaces – proof that standards and culture must scale together.

We made 2025 regret underestimating us.
We kicked off the year by being officially named a Great Place to Work® by gptw_me, followed by a #2 ranking for Best Workplace in Tech. A strong start, but just the beginning.
None of it happens without the team. This year, we welcomed a bunch of outcome-obsessed Raincoders, including our new CEO, Lajjo.
We partnered with shamsaha_me to launch a purpose-built safety app in November. We teamed up with dif_fotboll and vivamediagroup (more on that soon), and joined iil.aubh to shape the next wave of Bahraini startups.
Outside the office, we supported rising talent through events like Career Ignite Ghabha by educationzone, hackathons with injazbahrain and reboot01.coding, and Summer Camp at aubh_bahrain.
And somewhere in between, we shipped AI solutions in record time.
To everyone who built, backed and believed in what we do, thank you. You’re the real ones.
